Making it do what it DO!

Well Monday was as my post stated so we won’t talk about that at all. Tuesday I get to work to find that someone has stolen the AC unit that is for my part of the building so I KNOW it’s going to be a miserablly hot day. I was not dissappinted. Wednesday was like every hump day should be. Thursday was almost a wasted day but I managed to pull that one out of the crapper. Today was busy but good and now I’m going to hang with my children for the weekend.

I knew going into today that it would be one of THOSE days….I wasn’t disappointed either. It was all that and a bag of swamp rocks. That’s O.K. though. I made it through and now I am at home talking to you people. Both of you.

It’s a shame when you are treated like you aren’t pulling your weight when for the last 13 years you have been there EVERY time it was needed. Staying late, working weekends or whatever it took to get things accomplished. Just really frustrating. You would think that if you take care of others that you might be able to expect some sort of reciprocity…guess not. Oh well, enough of that rant for now.

The economy really seems to be slowing here in Alabama. We seem to be one of the last to REALLY feel the bite. Boy does it BITE!! 20% pay reductions, more pressure to do more work for less compensation, all under the guise of trying to stay afloat in a sinking ship. Now I’m not naive enough to think I’m the only one to feel the bite of recession. There are literally thousands of people in the U.S. that are with out a job at all. For the fact that I have a job I am thankful. Unfortunately I can’t see the end to this downturn of the markets. Don’t try and tell me, “the dow closed up yesterday”. I don’t want to hear it. Until my paycheck goes up it is a downturn. Until work picks up it is a downturn.

To top all of that off we have politicians trying their damnedest to take an ever increasing bite out of what money I do get. Tax the “lifestyle” articles such as tobacco products, liquor, beer and wine. What next? I have to pay to use the bathroom? I mean come on people. Wake up to the fact that government, be it republican or democrat wants more money. The republicans not as much as the democrat, but that doesn’t matter. Everyone talks about “God given rights”. Now I don’t know if “God” gave me the right or not, but I am an adult that is MORE than capable of making rational decisions about what I do within the laws that currently exist. Be it drink an adult beverage or smoke a cherry flavored cigar every now and then. Stay out of MY LIFE. That’s right, it’s MY LIFE and not yours. You live however the hell you want and I will live how I want. Don’t infringe on my pursuit of LIFE, LIBERTY and HAPPINESS!!! I will return the favor I assure you of that much.

For now my quasi-political rant is over. I’m sure however, that they will do something else for me to rant and rave about very soon so stay tuned.

About to start a new internet radio show with my boy Drexx. It’s been a while since we last did a show. Some of you may know us from our Revolution Radio days supporting local music here in Alabama. I’m not sure that’s what we will be doing this time around. There are SO many things going on around the world these days that need to be talked about. We will be making a decision within the next week. We will then post info regarding our new show. Hopefully we can hit on something timely and interesting enough for everyone to get involved and want to listen, learn and help us make the best show possible.
